was wondering if anyone knows whether there are many lecom graduates who are currently doing residencies in nj and/or practicing there.

I know of one or two doing their residencies here.

Paige -- you are doing exactly what I want to do!! Except I want EM, but you went to SOM and are doing a residency at JSUMC!! I've only been accepted to LECOM, so it's reassuring to know that you can always come back to Monmouth County.

hey paige,

you'll be seeing my dad once you start. he's been at JSUMC peds for over 20 years now. i love JSUMC and i wanted to do rotations there when i'm in med school but i don't think it would happen as a LECOM student. hopefully i'll be able to practice there once i graduate though.

Aww, isn't it cute? We're like a little club of people who have a dream of coming back home to the Monmouth County area.

I wonder if it helps having a parent who works at JSUMC? Hmmm, I just can't imagine doing a pediatric neurology rotation with my mom. It would be too weird!

yeah it would be weird but you'd have someone in the dept always backing you up and you know that you won't be treated like crap during the rotation because your parent is a doctor in the dept. i'll give it some more time then i'll try to see if i can do a rotation there but it's too early to start asking about it.

Woo Hoo Monmouth County!! Has anyone from MC gotten any love from UMDNJ?
