Hey everyone! Just got my first request for a pharmacy interview... from Shen.CP today... I'm excited. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone got an interview request from LECOM yet?

If so... I was wondering what were your GPAs/PCAT scores if you don't mind me asking...

Anyway LECOM-Erie is my top choice... Hope to see you all at the interview.

Congrats on the interview🙂 Camilla told me they are starting to review applications at the end of this week, and we should hear as soon as they review. She said end of this week, weekend, or early next week.

Good luck to those that received interviews for LECOM. However, I didn't even receive a supplemental yet. Is that a bad sign? 🙁
 
I just got an interview set for nov 4(Bradenton)..anyone else goin....there admissions are really quick, i did the supp less then a week ago, and my pcat scores and letters came in a few days ago, I just got a call and an email asking for an interview..hope I do well, I have like 3 exams that day, hope my teachers understand..Goodluck to everyone
 
Good luck to all your guys getting an interview invite. I'm currently a P1 at LECOM-Bradenton and so far everything's been great. I'm doing in really good in all of my classes even though the courseload here is so intense (7 courses). As far as the interview is concerned, there are common questions that every pharmacy school will ask. I interviewed at 4 different pharmacy schools and they all asked questions such as why do you want to become a pharmacist? What experiences will help you be a successful pharm. student and pharmacist? During the LECOM-Bradenton interview, I was asked about what projects I did that demonstrated good teamwork? what's the most difficult problem i've encounter and how did I resolve. Probably with every pharm. school, make sure you're able to answer questions about teamwork and problem solving skills.

hey ive heard that lecom interviews ALOT of applicats, acording to their stats they only accept 30%...i am so nervous... do they accept alot of there waitlists
 
well last year i was on lecom's wait list for quite a long time and never got in. They sent me a letter a week after class started and told me that I wasn't accepted. 🙁

what were your stats..if you don't mind me asking?
 
79 pcat
3.5 overall gpa
3.3 science gpa
a lot of volunteer work but no actual pharmacy experience when I applied there
 
LECOM Bradenton for November 18th. They offered an interview for the 4th but I told them I would be busy working the polls that day (the election polls, that is 😉 ). 😀

you should email them. I didnt receive mine, and they resent me the letter with the login portal ID

I also have an interview from LECOM Bradenton on 10/23 , but I am allllll the way from California. haha.
 
I got a call about the interview last week... I'll be going on the 4th of November.
 
I called earlier today about my application and they told me I should be expecting a call from them today or tommorrow to setup an interview date @ bradenton. Yay! for LECOM... my top pick for four year pharmacy!

Dunno what date I want to choose though.
 
What's up everyone,

Good luck in your interviews with Lecom. This is probably one of your easier interviews, so don't be nervous. It is a very comfortable atmosphere and the school is really great. As a first year so far the experiences with school have been good. School is very though, but you start learning to manage. The good thing about Lecom is the fact that we are a small school and you really get the feeling that the administration cares about you. Professors are always available and willing to help you out in any problem that you may have. The interview feels more like a conversation than an interview. Do your best and show them that you really want to come to Lecom. During your interview you will have time to talk to two students about their experiences so far. Make sure you ask questions to really get a feel for the school. Again, don't be nervous and trust me when I say that the interview will be very comfortable.

Choose the first date availabe. Lecom has a rolling admission and after your interview you will find out their decision in about 1 to 2 weeks. Seats start filling up pretty quick so don't wait.
 
Thanks, LECOM-B and E are on my top choices for pharmacy school because I have heard so much about them, especially the students. I can't wait 😀
 
I'm also interviewing at LECOM on Nov. 4, from what everyone is saying, hopefully it won't be so bad. 🙂

I got Lecom erie invitation today.
YAY, mine's on December 3rd 08 !

cGPA: 3.5
sGPA:3.7
PCAT: 92 percentile
2 years of pharmacy experience
President of the Pre-Pharm Club
and a lot of other activities !!!
 
i got 12/3 also! i'm so excited!! time to go book a flight.
 
Flights were expensive. Looks like I'm flying in to Buffalo the day before. I just hope the weather is good and there are no flight delays. I'm so nervous. Erie is my top choice.
 
Just got my invite today... 10/3.

I am quite excited!

ahh. i got one today also! but for the 16th of december.. and the plane ticket alone is $781.... would it be beyond horrible if i asked for a later interview... ? OR that is for the Erie Intl airport tho.. any one know of a cheaper airport to fly into?

Buffalo, Cleveland and Pittsburgh are all about 2 hours away. I'm flying into Buffalo and have to rent a car. Paid almost $400 for the ticket though.
Not sure what they will do if you ask for a later interview. I want to do my interview as soon as possible and hopefully know sooner rather than later if I am accepted.
 
You can maybe fly to an airport in Buffalo, NY or maybe... somewhere else in Pennslyvannia. The cost maybe because that its a smaller rural area... but it is very scenic... I got a 6 hour drive there and back...

I just got my interview today from Bradenton. It's on the 18th, the same day as a few others here. See you guys soon!

Yeah.........I'm leaning towards driving from Ohio. it would take me 5.5 hrs
 
anyone flying from SJC? i think i'm just going to land in erie, i'd rather not have to deal with driving in snowy conditions in an unfamiliar area. bought a suit today! but no plane ticket yet. i want to get there the morning or afternoon before the 9am interview, but the cheapest flight would get me there either more than a day early or the night before. what's everyone else's plan?
 
I must said, the interview was awesome. The faculty and the admins are very nice 🙂. Interview questions were pretty general, so good luck and have fun. i want to repeat this, THEY ARE REALLY NICE AND WARM PPL!
 
yeah the staff was great! I interviewed the 23rd. To the Poster above who did you interview with?
 
I definitely have to agree with the 2 above!! They were great people! Everyone was very helpful and very enthusiastic about the school and the pharmacy program!! (Also interviewed the 23rd)

If you do not mind..what questions did they ask, was it a one on one or a panel
 
I'm excited... I got an interview to LECOM-Erie a few days ago, its on Dec.3

Btw, how many interview dates are there with LECOM-E? I was wondering if I can't get something earlier.

Pretty much I just recommend looking at the sticky on SDN for questions because the ones they asked are pretty general. Its 2 interviewers and you.
 
Hi everyone. I interviewed Oct 23 at LECOM Bradenton as well. They were very nice in general. If you're planning to stay at a hotel, don't stay at the Econlodge 10 min away. They are cheap, but unless you want to sleep next to a lawn mower or sweat in the heat, just don't do it.

Currently anxiously awaiting results. Did anyone get a call yet?
