I interviewed 10/23 as well and haven't heard anything....I don't feel well about my interview though so I am not really expecting to get in. How about you?
 
I thought I did ok on the interview, but my GPA is only 3.18. I will probably go to LECOM if I do get accept. The faculty seems pretty nice & down to earth. I'll keep you posted if I receive anything from them.

Yea definitely let me know! Were you the one from Cali? Or I should one of the ones from Cali lol. What did you get on your PCAT (if you don't mind me asking)? My GPA is fairly low too like a 3.3. Who interviewed you?
 
You would probably remember me as the Asian girl from California. My PCAT is 84% and I had two people interview me. One of them didn't say anything & was learning from the other one. I don't quite remember who you are right now (so nervous wasn't paying attention that day). Were the one from Atlanta & wore a blue shirt.
 
Your PCAT is very good! Yes I do remember you! I was from Punta Gorda...the only female not in the 2nd group of 8 so I didn't get the chance to really talk with ya! Well good luck with everything and let me know if you here anything! Where else did you apply?
 
Oh, I think I spoke to you at the very end of the interview. Anyway, I have to study for a midterm now. Let me know if you receive anything too. Good luck!

make sure you read up on some pharmacy stuff as they have an article they want you to discuss!

I haven't received anything yet. On the LECOM supplemental website (remember they e-mailed us a user name and pw), there is a status button. Mine just says I interviewed and they will contact me within 30 days on a decision.

Oh ok...I checked mine it says they haven't made a decision on your file. Mine doesn't say I was interviewed though 🙁
 
I talked to the Admissions counselor today. Decisions are mailed out today instead of last Wednesday because delays.
 
Me too....she asked my name but didn't say anything so I am thinking that's not a good sign....
 
just got a call from LECOM...like not even 2 mins ago the dean is calling ppl. who got accepted...GL to all!
 
I just got a call from Dean Levin too. I was accepted.

Well I am sorry to hear that...but at least you got into your number 1 choice!!! That's whats important!! I interviewed October 23 tooooo....which one were you?? lol.

Just replying to the thread. I got an Interview with LECOM.
PCAT: Composite- 87 percentile
GPA: 3.16
Science/Math: 3.00

I'd suggest not trying to memorize any answers for potential questions.

First off my GPA is not good about 3.2 cum
my pcat is not good either 70% with the highest section bio and chem (about 80% for both).
going to get my bachelors in Micro and Molec bio @UCF
I have a good trend from freshman to senior year
I volunteered in the hospital pharmacy and shadowed in hospital and retail setting

I think I did okay in the interview... Just look them in the eye and be sincere and tell them what you think. I read a couple of books on pharmacy and general healthcare in America to prepare, which was very helpful in that the discussion you have to do in LECOM/Interview Questions.
Ex. What are problems in pharmacy, how can you improve the Manager/pharmacy relationship in retail pharmacy etc. Of course they want someone who is informed about pharmacy and understand the current situation of pharmacy in the U.S.
When I prepared for the interview I just went to the interview feedback and I tried to answer the questions in my head but I did not memorize anything.... it might sound weird if you memorize your answers word for word. Just be genuine and you should be fine....

Congrats to all accepted. I had an interview on Tuesday, the 4th, with some of you in Bradenton.
To those accepted, what did it say under admission status in your portal? I had a change to the admission committee has made a decision, and I will be contacted within 10 days. I just didn't know if this was a good or bad thing. I am over anxious so just need to relax either way. Thanks in advance!

I know exactly how you feel, and would like to bump this thread to see if anyone has any thoughts.

By the way, I interviewed on the 4th as well... so who might you be? My name is Han, don't know if we actually spoke.

Hi...I can tell you that mine says that they have not made a decision and I was waitlisted so I would imagine that yours means you either got accepted or rejected.

Thanks fhx06. Now the wait, I suppose. I was the one from Tampa - Anthony. I do remember speaking with you. So your portal status says the same thing? Oh well, I suppose we will find out very soon.

Thanks for your reply. I figured it was either rejection or acceptance - I just wish it would say either way in the portal.
Waitlisted is not all bad - at least you still have a chance. I do know it is crazy on the nerves. I heard from last year that Lecom accepted a lot from the waitlist - if this helps. Although it did take awhile to hear back though.

Any other thoughts from others.

I just submitted my supplemental application last night and I already have an interview for Dec 16! (Too bad other schools don't work so quickly.... *ahem*MCPHS*ahem* 🙂)

It would be nice if I didn't have three finals the two days afterward though... I'll have to drive from Albany to Erie... then back to Albany for finals... and alllll the way home to Indiana for winter break! But I am super excited about the interview! (and a little nervous) (and I like parentheses)

Hi there, I'm wondering hoa you can apply multiple schools at the same times. Do you have to write each personal statement for each school you apply for?

If not, can you show me how to do that.

All of you applying to LECOM, I wish you the best of luck in getting in and hopefully you will be able to join us in dominating the state competition, considering we have 5 pharmacy schools in Florida. As of now, I can tell you this much. It is not easy at all. You will have to study a bunch, probably even more than the others schools you are applying to. I say this because since we are pretty much a new school, we don't have test floating around like other schools. I guess that is a good thing though because it means we are actually learning all the information they are cramming into to us. As much as it sucks while you are going through it, in the long run you will appreciate the fact that you actually learned it and didn't just memorize it off an old test. Trust me when I say that I have all the confidence that any student in the first two years at LECOM are prepared very well, and i would put any of us against any school in the country right now. In fact last year, two students placed in the top three when they went to the ASHP convention last year. They were both first years competing against schools that had fourth years present. Good luck and don't give up hope. Being persistent is part of the game.
 
I just opened up a spot on the wait list today as I declined my acceptance to LECOM's College of Pharmacy. Good luck to those attending, and I wish you the best!
 
I got an interview invite for the end of january!!! i'm soo nervous because the spaces o fill fast...so there going too be soo picky b.c i'm sure they only have a couple spots left!!!....ahhhh

so do they chooose out of the ppl they are interviewing that day...or what?

For the Erie campus or the Bradenton campus? Either way, good luck. I know how you feel, I thought there weren't going to be any seats left at Erie but found out that they had only interviewed 4 sets of applicants (12 or so each), so theres still some seats left for you if they managed even 3 more interviews since then. Anyway, I turned down my own seat to Bradenton so there should be one seat more if that's where you want to go.

So Chem 123, when did you actually apply to Bradenton? I forgot about the school being there and didn't get my app in until about 10 days ago but they have already called the people that gave my recommendation letters. Seems pretty fast to me, just wondering how long it was between them receiving your app and you getting an invite.
