I’m aware of the PBL for LECOM so wondering if the additional cost for Nova is worth it. I’m oos for both. Thanks in advance.

Difference in tuition is about 20K per year and. Overall COA difference is about 150-175K higher for Nova. Both are in Florida and location wise they are fine. The question is whether that cost difference is worth choosing Nova over LECOM only because of the PBL Curriculum.

it's still a no IMO
think of the difference in percentage rather than dollars
a 25% more expensive school means 25% longer to become financially free or retire, and that's before compounded interest comes into play

do a simple search of what schools (you can start with medical and dental schools) that use some form of PBL and see what you think of the list of schools you find...

We go over PBL and other flipped classroom methods in Becoming a Student Doctor. If you search the forums, you will find that PBL is an acquired taste. Have you asked current students (1st or 2nd years)?

The REAL cost difference comes in clinic operations. How much are you spending on instruments, materials, and sterilization of everything?

Yes, it can make a difference. I believe, however, that both the programs are pretty good at getting people into residency. You should really try to find current dental students or graduates from both programs and see if they know more about the residency success rate at each program.
