I interviewed at LECOM almost 3 weeks ago. I just called admissions today asking if I have atleast been reviewed as I have other deposits due within a week but LECOM is my first choice. Without even asking my name she said you have been reviewed, we have very few spots left, I don't know when you'll hear, maybe a few more weeks. I told her I hadn't hear anything yet. waitlist/rejected...anything, I just wanted to see if the committe made a decision so I could put down other deposits or wait it out. She couldn't tell me anything. Has anyone else heard who interviewed in March or is everyone having these problems??

i was interviewed on march 2nd, didnt get the notice until the 29th (or so....). Hope that helps.

It is Erie. I'm hoping they met about me this past Wednesday and hopefully I'll receive a notice within the next week. Even if I didn't get in I would like to know so I can put down other deposits. I just don't understand how she could say everything was reviewed without asking who I was??

I am a current post-bac student at LECOM, so I can answer a few things for you if you need anything. I personally had my interview in early February and got my acceptance letter exactly 4 weeks afterwards. I'm not sure when you'll hear from them, but just be patient.
In general, admissions in LECOM Erie is not the friendliest around; however you do have those people who are exceptionally nice and well qualified. I have no idea how they could've told you that your file was reviewed when she didn't even ask for your name, but I assume they know what they're doing. 😕 And contrary to what I have read about LECOM, it's not a bad school. There are pros and cons to all schools, and I believe that it really doesn't matter where you go to medical school, but just as long as you put your heart into it. You can go to the most prestigous school and not make an effort, and therefore not getting the best education you could've received. So just be patient and you will hear from them soon. Pay your other schools just in case you do not get accepted into LECOM. Sorry I was not as helpful as you'd probably like me to be.
