I have recently applied to a handful of Dental Schools. My top choice is the University of Louisville. My Father and two uncles all graduated from this school. Will having relatives that are alumni from this program help me get accepted?

OP, you can ask them directly if they give you an interview invite. That way- there will be no speculation from individuals who arent on their admissions committee.

it depends on how much they donate to the school and if they are well liked around campus...

Yes it can help. If they still maintain connections at the school, you can ask if they can put in a good word for you. I’ve heard of people landing interviews this way. You might also mention in your interview that a big reason why you want to go to their school is that my father and two uncles went here and loved it! Or something along those lines.

Having a legacy does carry some weight at some schools.
