Hey all,
I'm of Asian decent and I have my native name, which is also my legal name on all my records.
On the AMCAS, they allow you to list your preferred names and alternate names.
I'm just wondering if there is really any difference between those? I'm guessing preferred names is the same as nicknames?
Also, everyone refers to me by my nickname. In that case, I'm guessing all of my LORs would also refer to me by that name. Any suggestions on how to handle those situations? I can definitely let my writers know to put my legal and nickname in the heading of the letter, but any other insights into this issue?
