Hey, does anybody know if most, if not, all schools are interviewing fewer people this year compared to last year?

Most class sizes won't change (I heard increasing class size requires re-accreditation), so I expect they would interview the same amount of people relative to previous years.

That's just probably NYU then, would assume most schools would stick to the same #'s and even less likely all schools are interviewing less.

Shouldn't be too different. We're all anxious at this point wondering why we don't have more interviews.

I heard that when I interviewed at UNLV also. They said last year they interviewed too many and waitlisted too many, so this year they were cutting back. I think the approach will vary from school to school and even for the same school it can vary from year to year. Things are constantly changing.

How do you figure? Larger enrollment may mean more $, but simply interviewing more people to fill the same # of spots costs them both time and money.

They're still getting around the same number of applications (so same amount of cash in supplemental fees) but they're interviewing less people so that they have to spend less resources and time on that. It's not like they're getting money from people spending money on plane tickets. Seems like a win for them.

You're right, I was thinking more of the supplemental applications (with fees) they hand out to the more serious applicants that they would like to interview.
