Let's Be Honest. Who has had or is having "work" done on their teeth before their interviews? I myself just purchased some Crest Whitestrips (which actually work well according to a Trade publication I read in my dentist's office - the Supreme version works even better) to give me that moviestar sparkle. I figure the extremes have an advantage. If you have a great looking set of choppers, the adcom will think, wow this person really takes care of their teeth - he/she's in! Or if you are "orally challenged" they might think, wow look at all the great hours of practice his classmates will get - he/she's in! 😀

Before every interview, I was always certain to brush and floss. Does that count?

Typo....every day I get more and more anxious because of your avatar.....

i wouldn't do anything special for interviews unless your teeth are abnormally yellow, in which case do some whitestrips. it is not like the interviewers and everyone else there had perfect movie star teeth. i def wouldn't spend a lot of money on treatment, whitestrips are the most i would do.

only dress for success my teeth can't get any whiter!! hehe i have the professional whitening kit i made for myself at work which definately works better than anything! 😀

You guys cracked me up. One traditional way is to use charcoal to rub your teeth. 😀
What if we show them some bad teeth and tell them this is why you want to be a dentist?

I think we ought to whiten our teeth as much as possible and maintain a strong dental hygiene. Afterall they are people who look at teeth everyday, and I'm sure an applicant with swollen gums or yellow teeth will be distracting to the interviewer. This is not to knock on people who have bad teeth or gums, but really healthy gums is necessary for health and when we have our patients in the future do we really want them to be questioning our own teeth. We ought to set good role models ourselves. I brush and floss my teeth at least twice a day!!!

good post...you're my new hero!!! 😀

i try to NOT to brush my teeth for a week 🙂

just kidding

One of my anterior maxillaries was much darker than the rest (perhaps because of trauma that happened to it a long time ago), so to even it out I applied that brush-on gel stuff for a couple of weeks. Worked like a charm and made a huge difference! As of now my teeth aren't perfectly white but at least they're all close to the same shade. 😀

How about popping in some fake vampire teeth to see if anyone notices or comments on your unsightly canines.

...or your beautiful canines, depending on whether the beholder is a tad bit warped.
