Pharm students...

What do you like about pharmacy? (What made you go into it)

What do you hate about it?

Like: I like the order & predictability.

Hate: lies told by drug seekers

like: i wanted to be the most knowledgeable about medications in a room at any given time
dislike: oversaturation, corporate's handling, etc

Like: the money
hate: drama queen patients

Like: the science, the math, the money, and my hours
Dislike: crazy people (I work in a hospital so it's usually crazy physicians and/or nurses).

Like: being the medication 'expert' .. being a sort of health care "auditor" .. the business management aspect, flexibility, patient contact without having to get hands dirty, counseling. I also love the repetitive, fast paced nature of it

Went into it for thr above reasons.

Hate: pharmacists with rigid and inflexible mindsets , patients who refuse to try to understand anything relating to insurance/payment, lack of understanding about our roles by the public and providers.

Went into pharmacy because I thought medicine would be a bad lifestyle choice. I still stand by it.

if by growing, you mean the amount of people doing it, than yes, definitely growing. when it comes to jobs and opportunities, the last thing it's doing is growing

Well, actually, my professors and some pharmacists I know told me that pharmacy IS a growing field. Look at how the roles of pharmacists progressed throughout history, makes the field quite amazing. Its a dynamic field and adjusting to it can be tough. 👍
