OK, I stole the title from the Pharm forum, but since they had a popular forum in which they posted pictures of themselves, I thought I'd create one in here. I'll go first. My picture is in the below website (my wife's)- just click on "SEE AMBER MY PARROT". My picture is below my parrot's pic (isn't she a beautiful bird?- She's a Conure).

Hey TPMOH:

Gorgeous! Here is a picture of my conure Kiwi! He's a bit messy looking because he just took a bath. 😀

He's a cutie too- that's just how Amber looks after her bath! How long have you had him? We've had Amber about a hear and 1/2 and she's about 2 yrs old. Is Kiwi a loud, spunky, playful bird too? Conures have such a unique personality- they are a handful, but they are worth having.

I've had Kiwi for almost 2 years now. He's so spunky and extremely playful. He has this huge gigantic cage because he likes the room but he insists on being the center of attention! If he hears someone talking and it's not to him, he starts barking (as I call it) in this high-pitched voice. =P Not as bad a sun conure though. So when I'm on the phone, I have to look at him to pretend I'm actually talking to him to avoid him getting hurt feelings.

He's very easy to handle, and he usually is on my shoulder when I'm on the computer. I actually got him this little perch to put in the shower so he can get a small steam bath when I'm there. =) Did I mention how spoiled he is?

Kiwi's main downside is he has some attitude. If he's mad, he'll let you know immediately. He's not a biter but he can really chomp it down if someone upsets him. He certainly doesn't like noise pollution or my cats. hehe. Surprisingly, the cats are terrified of him (when it should be the other way around). Anytime he is near my cats, he jumps down from wherever he is and starts chasing them with his mouth open! SO CUTE! He tries to bite their ears or eyes so I have to keep an eye on him.

It's amazing what a huge personality he has for such a little brain. 😀

Ok, that's enough from me - here are pictures of my cats! Yes, I have a little zoo going on here.

Here is a pic of my wife and I at our wedding. The other pic is of our dogs, Sassy and our new puppy Bentley. He is a nine week old German sheperd/Toy Collie. Sassy is a 4 year old Alaskan Malamute.

Kiwi sounds almost just like Amber! It's amazing how they are so much alike. I will have to try looking at her when I am talking to someone else- she does the same thing to me and my wife. Instead of having 3 cats- we have 3 parakeets. We had 2 parakeets before we got Amber, and we just got another yellow one with a green belly a couple of months age (my wife is now banned from the pet store when we need bird supplies 🙂 ). I don't know if this is normal, but I think Amber is madly in love with the new male parakeet (sunshine)! The first thing she does when we let her out is jump on sunshine's cage. She'll then start caressing him and kissing him beak to beak- kind of like french-kissing! I'm going to have to ask our vet if it is normal for a parrot to be in love with a parakeet. Birds are such a joy to have- I really never was in to having pets but my wife got me hooked on the birds.
