LETTER OF INTENT

Hello,
I have been put on waiting list
I heard about writing a letter of intent to the school that has waitlisted you, I looked for it in the SDN and I got multiple ideas
Could you guys please help with telling some tips about writing this letter? samples? could it hurt if it is not beneficial?
I am not lying... this school is my top choice school and they gave me the only interview at this application cycle and I DO WANT TO GET ACCEPTED!

If any of you have used the letter of intent before or have an advice.. it will be highly appreciated

Thank you!

Write about why you think the school is your number one and why you are a good fit for them. I would look at the schools mission and other information they have explaining their values/expectations for future students (should be in the brochure).

I started with a paragraph thanking them for considering me by putting me on the waitlist, I like the school and believe I'm a good fit yada yada, just an opening paragraph. Then I wrote a paragraph about what I liked about the school (clinical experience, curriculum, etc.) followed by a paragraph about why I was a good fit for the school (this is where you use what they are looking for as well as any unique characteristics about yourself). Then I just wrote a conclusion paragraph and boom, done.

Make sure it's no longer than one page, nobody wants to read a book. Also have it proof read. Good luck!

Thank you! These are the details I was looking for
Do you suggest sending it via email or mail or it does not really matter?

I sent mine via mail and signed my name, I think it gives a more personal touch but when I was waitlisted at another school the lady that contacted me told me to email it to her. You could always call admissions and ask what they prefer.
