letter of appreciation

I need to write a letter of appreciation for a scholarship I received. $10,000 per year, and in-state tuition at my medical school is $7,000 per year. I am very appreciative about that, but I'm suffering from writer's block. I have no idea how long my letter should be or even where I should start.

this is tough. but i think it's mostly a formality. although you are very greatful sometimes it's tough to put it into words. i understand. just start out by stating your motivation for medicine, and relate that back to how them giving you this cash will help you get there, then thank them for the cash, and close it up. 1 page letter right there. good luck!
