Ok, I am so confused. I thought I knew what I was doing with this LOI thing, but I just read some posts that disagreed with me.

1) Do you send letters of intent BEFORE or AFTER your interview? I already know that I want to go to that school, but I just figured you would send them after so that you could actually put in some information about your visit there.

2) Handwritten or typed?

From what I heard from a counsellor, the term "Letter of Intent" has been used to describe a wide variety of letter. I don't think you can't send it before interview, but it's probably not going to change the decision too much. After interview or after being placed on waitlist, the school will be seriously considering you, and a letter of intent will help.

I'll go for a typed letter even I have very good hand-writing

1) Send a letter of intent AFTER your interview.
2) Type and sign it.
