I'm in the same boat as you and sent an email to the program stating that they're still my first choice and they emailed me back thanking me for showing my high interest and that they'll let me know if there are any changes to the admission process. But I've yet to hear anything else and it's been almost two weeks haha. Not sure if sending the email improved my chances, but I don't think sending the email hurt my chances either
