I've applied to Baylor College of Medicine, and am currently under this status

Your application is complete and has been reviewed by the committee.
We will let you know something as soon as we are able.

I am getting a little anxious cuz Baylor is my top choice. If accepted, I WILL go there. Would anyone suggest I write a letter of intent, or is it too early? If I do write one, whom should I write it to, and how long does it need to be?

Man, I'm losing it.

Thanks a lot

I would wait until they send you an interview invite. IMHO, medical schools know that you want to go to their school, they just have to decide who they want. If your AMCAS/Secondary/Letters don't persuade them to offer you an interview, then they will reject you based on that, without taking into consideration that you really want to go there. At the interview you can relay that it is your top choice.

its really early in the process for that I think.
I don't know much about letter of intent/interest but I got the feeling they were more of a post interview or on the waitlist type deal

If Baylor is your top choice, why not show it? However, some schools do not accept/like applicants sending letters before the interview invite, so you should check first.

Yep, I agree with the above. It's not necessarily that they don't want to talk to you, but that they've got 6,000 people to sort out (and you're number 3,801). Calm down and wait - they'll be time for your letter of intent months down the line, depending on how things shake down.

If I am providing a medical school with a status update, would you see anything wrong with including some intent? Haven't had an interview invitation yet, and it is my top school.

Letter of Intent = your commitment to matriculate if accepted. I think these are written after interviews which makes more sense.

Letter of interest just conveys how much you love the school?

I think.
