If you really like a school after your interview day is it ok to send a letter of interest (not intent) after the interview and before a decision if the school accepts them?

They treat them as lies. They know you're interested because you came for an interview.

Do you think that a hot chick will be impressed if some guy says "I'm interested in taking you to the prom?"
Should we send thank you letters?

I think if you

1) have a substantial update that you can give, you should focus on that and then mention the continued interest and enthusiasm secondarily,

2) interviewed at a school that explicitly gives you instructions on how to send thank you letters and LOIs and mentions that they're receptive to them (I've encountered one),

then you should stroke their ego. Otherwise, like goro said, it's unsubstantiable fluff.

I mean...this is not really covered in on this forum very much (if at all) and is not anywhere in any of my interview documentation...how does one send a post-II thank you?
Sorry, that is off topic to the thread and I don’t want to derail yet another thread. Let me make another thread.

There are a few schools where it is expected (GT is famous for this). You can ask at the interview if there is any doubt.
At the rest, it just makes more work for the staff.
Some explicitly tell you not to send them.

just like nobody is interested in the guy who texts them back right away every time and starts talking about honeymoon destinations on the first date schools like applicants with multiple options. If they know they have you you’re less likely to get merit scholarships quick communication etc

If he's talking Bali or somewhere extravagant I don't mind honeymoon talks right away.

I only ever wrote thank you notes if my parents made me. It just screams neediness to me. I don’t know why anyone would willingly write one.

Georgetown, George Washington,Washington University, University of Washington...

It’s kind of a tomato/tomato situation.
Lol tomato/tomato implies that they mean the same thing. I would advise against using "University of Washington" if you interview at WashU

Have you never heard this expression?

Yes...again, the expression is to denote two concepts that have different names/pronunciations but are in reality, the same thing. Georgetown/George washington and University of Washington/Washington University are not examples of this....
