Thank you all for taking my question. I just had an interview at a school that I really clicked with. I suspected, based on their website, that it would be a good fit, but the tour/Q&A only confirmed it. Would it be appropriate to send an update saying just that?

FWIW this is a school that gets HUGE numbers of applicants. I think showing genuine interest would help, but what do you think? Thanks again!

I would include that information in quick thank you e-mails rather than sending an "interest" letter immediately after interviewing.
Thanks for the advice! I did that already, which is why I posted this question. Wouldn't want to overkill them with my enthusiasm.

I would suggest waiting to send a letter of interest until you've had a decision on your application, given that you already stated your continued interest in your thank you cards.

FWIW, some schools are particularly receptive to LoInterests, some are not.

This school encourages us to send them and any updates too. I do have an update to share so I might just sneak in a little line about continued interest as well.

How would you interpret a non-binding contract from a desperate applicant?

Certainly not desperate. This school, above all others, turned out to fit exactly the way I wanted it to. More that 5 distinct programs/features match my interests and extracurriculars damn near perfectly. Just wanted to reiterate that.

You and everyone else who interviewed there will be saying the exact same thing to this school, and others.

A tangent to the question posed, but how do we know which schools are receptive/like LOIs?

This one said so (well, the admission reps did). Besides, it's so huge how would it differentiate between people who are really interested and those applying as a backup?
