Letter of REC from Calc 1 professor?

Science GPA (BCPM) includes math classes so when they say a science professor for letter of REC does that include math as well? I got to know my Calc 1 professor really well in class and during office hours. So was hoping I could use this professor.

Maybe get an LOR from her, in addition to more mainstream science courses. You don't want to run into problems with this down the road.

I think math counts as science in the GPA (BCPM), but not for an LOR.
