I've been thinking about my possible letters of rec, and I realized that I don't have very many science professors that I'm close with. I did take physics with an instructor and built up a pretty good relationship with him, but he doesn't have a PhD and instead has an M.A. and an M.S.
Is it acceptable to consider him my science "professor" despite that he's not technically a professor?
