Hey all, I'm about to graduate undergrad in a couple weeks and I'm planning on applying to med school in around 2 years. During my 3 gap years, if I get in, I'll be working as a scribe, maybe at two different practices, taking some classes at UCLA Extension at least for a year and a half, shadowing, and volunteering at my church. These will definitely be great opportunities for me to get a letter of recommendation, but I was wondering if I can ask my research lab PI from undergrad to write a LOC for me and I can just hang onto it for a couple years. It'll be a good LOC, but is this the move? Or should I just get my LOC's from my post grad experiences? Do I have to have a science professor LOC even from UCLA Extension? Let me know, thanks!
