So as I consider non-science professors to write me a LOR, I've thought about asking one from this semester who I've visited frequently. The potential problem is that he's a post doc fellow (I.e. title isn't 'professor'). Would this be foolish to pursue? I don't really have a lot of other options because freshman/sophomore me was foolish and had too much pride to go get help in office hours.

Any insight is much appreciated

You can also ask the postdoc to get his faculty advisor or the course faculty at the time to counter sign. But the quality of the letter is more important than the title of the writer

That's what I had originally thought -- shouldn't have second guessed myself. Thanks, both of you
