My letter writer emailed me approximately 24 hours ago that she submitted my letter of recommendation. However on the application it only says the letter has been "accepted" not "submitted". Is this happening to other people? When my first letter was submitted in May it went through within an hour, so I'm wondering if this is normal or I should ask her to re-submit. Thank you.

Accepted means they read and acknowledged the sent email by AACOMAS. Give it a bit more

Thank you. I appreciate your feedback. I ended up calling and they said that it indeed had not been submitted correctly. This happened for two of my letter writers, both of which I had to inform to re-submit. Kind of weird. It was definitely worth calling to clarify. They are very helpful.

Im curious on how you upload them. Print out on official letterhead and then they sign.. then scan and upload as pdf?

You’d be better off using Interfolio than submitting directly to AMCAS. But it sounds like it’s too late...

AACOMAS sends an email to the person, and they do it that way through their process. I guess if you're in the position to write a letter you will find out.
