I couldn't find anything about this, but I really want to write letters to everyone who wrote me recommendations. Anything specific I should include? So far they are pretty bland.

Dr. gonnif,

Thank you for writing a medical school letter of recommendation for me! I wanted to update you that I was accepted to and will be attending Harvard Medical School this fall! I had a very good interview and a great time while I was in Boston. I appreciate your support during this process and can not thank you enough!

Sincerely,
Mimelim

1) Thanks
2) where you got in
3) perhaps a brief summary of your application cycle (II, acceptances)
4) Thanks

Thank you so much for that! So that's what I have right now, but I'm worried it might sound impersonal. Or is that understandable since what else can I really say?

Well you know them so you have to talk about that . Perhaps the class you took, your time in college, the lab. But really as Goro said, its a thank you note. If you really want a detailed analysis I would be glad to do it as fee for service.
Thank you!!
