I was wondering how to get LOR's to pharmcas; do I just email my teacher the pharmcas link of questions and that's it?
Also I forgot about getting LOR's and there is only one week left of school this semester; would professors still write me a LOR? or Should I wait until next semester where I would be able to interact with my professors more; the deadline that I have to apply is December 2016 so would it be better to take a lesser LOR or can I turn in my LOR late even if it is required as part of the application?

And also I understand that schools look at your pharmcas gpa (which is cum gpa) first; so where does your pre-req gpa come in?

thanks

It sounds like you're going to apply this summer/fall to start school in 2017.

If so, you won't be able to request LORs through pharmcas until the new application opens up (which is usually in mid-July). When the application is open, you will enter your professor's info to pharmcas, and it will directly email a link to your professor where they will submit the LOR. When I was applying last year, I asked my professors before the summer break if they would write an LOR and told them to expect an email in mid-July from pharmcas. I asked them in May before school ended to make sure they would be available during the summer.

A strong LOR will really help your application, but some schools will not review your application until they receive everything including LORs.

Pharmcas will calculate your gpa and break it into several categories (http://www.pharmcas.org/preparing-to-apply/application-process/verification-process-and-gpas/), and send it to your designated schools.

During the supplemental application process for some schools, they may even calculate your prereq gpa separately.

About LORs, you should note that not all professors are always available during the summer, so i suggest asking them now and reminding them again in July once pharmcas is open. I gave my profs about a month to write my LORs

Does anyone know if PharmCAS accepts LOR submissions through interfolio?

Hi GreenTea, I have a quick question. My pharmacist asked me if answering all the questions on the fill is good enough or does he have to write a letter to include with the form to make the LOR complete?

Hi @Sonickenny12 I believe your pharmacist needs to write a letter along with answering the questions. It would be good to double check with PharmCAS or an experienced letter writer, but I think your pharmacist should have the option to upload a document, which should be the electronic letter of reference the pharmacist wrote, and also complete the comments/questions portion of the reference through the online form.

How many reminders would you send to a professor who agreed to send a LOR?
