Letters of Reference & Hospital Appointment Paperwork

Quick question folks,

I just received this 2 lb packet in the mail full of wonderful paperwork to fill out. One of the forms is regarding obtaining 3 letters of reference. I was wondering if we can just use the LORs written on our behalf for our residency applications or do we need to obtain freshly written letters now?

Isn't that a fun stack o' paper? My program instructed us to write down the names of my letter writers for my application. For questions about my 2 lb stack I just called my program and asked. They were very helpful.
