Hi I was reading UAB's site and they mentioned that they were 1 of 2 level 1 ocular trauma centers. I can't seem to find where the second one is. Any one have any idea? Thanks in advance!

Wilmer and NYEEI are as well I believe.

Heh, i'd stay away from programs with too much trauma.

thanks everyone!

why stay away from programs w too much trauma? bc of the bad lifestyle/call? seems like it'd be cool to see...

I'm not so sure the distinction means anything... Most universities are associated with a level 1 trauma (general, not ocular), which brings plenty of ruptured globes. These centers will not refer any trauma out, and a globe is a globe is a globe. There are only so many ways one can lacerate it....
