After reading the Cliffs AP biology (mostly the taxonomy section), I am in wondering. How much detail does the biology section of the DAT go into? Especially the classification part =3=

How did those who took the test or am about to take it prepare for the Bio section? From my impression, compared to the GC/OCHEM sections you mostly try to read as often as possible and absorp the most you can instead of trying to learn everything?

don't spend your time memorizing the classifications and the unique things about them. I remember from my test, the classification stuff was very basic, nothing overly detailed.

IMO, your better off spending your time learning other areas of biology then memorizing gawd-awful taxonomy and classification and maybe just maybe have only 1 "detailed" question about them. Its not worth it.

what about plant physiology? i am not a fan of it so to say 😛

Yeh I remember that chapter from cliff's AP bio... I hated it.

What I did was I read it multiple times during my DAT preparation, but didn't commit much of it to memory. However, the last day before my DAT, I sat down and read it slowly and took notes, that way it stayed fresh in my head for the next day just in case 1 question came from there lol....

Taxonomy sucks. I think just the big classifications and a few milestones are more than enough. For the rest, all I did was read my books over and over again.
