License and Master's

Dear All,
I have done B.D.S. from India.
I am going to U.S.A.
How do i get license to practice in U.S.A.?
Do i need to study in U.S.A. Compulsary in U.S.A. before i can get license OR
Is there any Open Test or Examination by which i can get license?
If i want to join Master's program in U.S.A, which exam i need to give?
