Licensing in two states simultaneously?

I'm just wrapping up internship and wondering if it's possible to seek licensing in two states simultaneously? Are there any rules that prohibit this? TIA

I am licensed in multiple states. As long as you meet the requirements for both states, no prohibition. some of my forensic colleagues are licensed in 4-5 states.

I am only licensed in one state but I am curious for those multiple state people. If you become licensed in an additional state, do you report this to your current state board, so they can update records? I'm assuming states vary a bit here, but in general, do they seem to want to know about your other licenses?

When you apply for a license, the state will ask if you have other licenses, or have ever had one revoked. You answer it there. I don't think I've ever informed the first state I'm licensed in that I am now licensed in another state. Doubt they care.

I don't see why you can't do them simultaneously.

No issue. I’m licensed in two states and will likely add a third so I can do IMEs and expert work in that state.

I would recommend doing both simultaneously. When you add a new state, they will traditionally want confirmation from ALL states in which you are already licensed. This can be a significant bottleneck. Easier to do it all at once.
