I posted this in the podiatry forum as well, but I'm hoping it may get more exposure here and I can get an answer!
So I was admitted to podiatry school for this upcoming fall but I have few questions on how my past academic history will affect me when I go to license after completing podiatry school.
After I completed undergrad, I decided to do a one year post- baccalaureate certificate program in which I really struggled. I was was placed on academic probation and ultimately academically dismissed. Will this academic history ever prevent me from licensing as a podiatric physician? I feel like getting into podiatry school is a second chance for me and I want to make sure that before I spend the time and money pursing this field, I want to make sure that I will be able to practice in the future.
Thanks in advanced!
