Hi all,

I'm looking to connect with someone who recently got licensed in Washington DC this past year. I'm having some issues with the application and the board isn't very helpful. It seems that I am supposed to fill out postdoc hours form as if I've already completed postdoc, which I did (2080 hours as of 9/1/17). I've also heard that one cannot submit application in DC until 2000 hours have been reached (which would be exactly mid August) but I don't see that anywhere online. That seems crazy to me as I imagine many take and pass EPPP earlier in postdoctoral year. The board next reviews apps in July so I'm hoping to get it in before then so I can register for EPPP in September.

Sorry for detailed message! Any thoughts would be most helpful, especially from newly licensed DC psychologists. I know MD/VA would be easier, since they don't require postdoc but since I'm not sure where I will be working my plan is try with the "hardest" state (e.g. postdoc req) first.

Thanks!

Did you get your question answered? I am having difficulty with the DC Board in that they seem to be discontent with my post-doc hours for some reason, and I am wondering if you might have any insight....

I know this is not particularly helpful to the issue at hand, but when I was doing my grad program in DC I seem to recall that the Board had been temporarily shut down for a lengthy period of time. Was that accurate? I recall one of our postdocs being unable to take the EPPP because there was no one available to review their hours.
