Okay so I have seen many questions on various PCAT sources with Lichens in it. Can anyone help me with this thing?? Like all the info on it... Thanks

I'd like to point out that it is very important you do not get lichens confused with mycorrhizae....Because they might try to trick you on this.

mycorrhizae is a another type of symbiotic relationship. It is the relationship between between a FUNGUS and and the ROOTS of a vascular plants.
They help increase the absorbtive capacity for water and mineral nutrients, thus improving the plant's mineral absorption capabilities.

So don't get confused! Lichens = algae + fungus
Mycorrihizae = fungus + root

Both are mutualistic relationships. (both benefit from one another)
Good luck!
