I feel like most of the topics on EP are 5-6 years old, especially for what I'm asking about...
Any EP docs working in an academic environment willing to comment on job satisfaction? Most interesting cases/procedures? I've only found out about EP somewhat recently--which is kind of sad, really--but I've since shadowed an EP doc and it seeemed fairly interesting.
However, I think I would enjoy teaching and research so I'd like to stay in an academic environment if possible (no matter what I eventually do for a fellowship--but I'm dead set on IM). So thoughts about the life, pay, satisfaction, interest, etc would be appreciated....
