I'm currently studying in high school and i know i have a long way to go. Will your chances of getting into a good dental school increase if you go to a good university? Besides that, does going into a really good university have any other effects?

sorry in advance if i have posted in the wrong place

Ok, so you are still in high school and chances are you will change your mind on what you want to be when you grow up.

But, if you want the best chance, go to the easiest school you can, and the cheapest one at that. This will result in a high GPA, your biggest asset in the application cycle.

My suggestion: Go to an "easy" school that also has a "good reputation." From what I hear, a lot of the ivy leagues fit this description. And from personal experience, I would consider UCLA to be such a school as well.

Your chances might increase by going to a "good university" provided you have "good" grades.
