After reading the Princeton Review chapter on capacitors the other week and being subjected to some severe whether, I had some thoughts. I don't think that I'm breaking grounds in physics, or anything like that, but maybe there are some physicists out there. The way I understand meteorology (I was always told that this was a science for those that couldn't pass orgo), lightning occurs due to charge buildup in macroscale fluid systems on the planet (cloud systems, which are driven by pressure systems--ultimately physical fluid dynamic systems). What if positive charge could be generated in clouds by satellite systems? They would discharge just like capacitors based on atmospheric dielectric breaking points, no?
Merry Xmas--love,
