Hi Doctors,

I wanted to know for all who are optometrist do you feel like sometimes you are very limited in your practice, yes obviously you are that's why we have ophthalmologist. However, did you ever feel disappointed about not being able to take care of a patient to the fullest extent? As optometrist often you might have no choice but to refer your patients to a OMD because a OD's practice only goes so far. To be a OD you obviously care about your patients and so does it bother you sometimes that even if you did all could you still have to send your patient to a OMD for further treatment? Do you sometimes leave your office at the end of the day feeling down and angry that in a sense ODs are smack in the middle of the 3 O's of the optical industry with opticians being at the bottom and ophthalmologist being at the top?
