Does anybody have any tips on creating a LinkedIn profile as a PT student or practicing PT? I just made one in the interest of having it available for future employers to look at when I start applying for jobs in the next 6 months, and I was curious what other SPTs and PTs considered pertinent information to include on a profile. Do you include rotation sites in your past experience?

I had one for about 2 years and just deleted it. Honestly in most cities, the demand is so high you don't need to have a profile up. All it did was put more of my information in the public and gave me 3-4 job opportunities in my email each day. Just give the employer the resume...and focus more on the interview. Not many places care where you went to school or that you did volunteer work in school. They want someone personable to fit in their clinic.

Thanks! I've been hesitant for years and finally decided to make one, I'll rethink having it up for everyone to see if it's not going to be helpful in the long run.

Agreeing with above, I haven't seen a need/benefit as a PT, especially if your goal is finding a job and not networking for other reasons. Taking the time to focus on a meaningful cover letter, a well drafted resume, and strong interview skills will be a better use of your time. I would recommend including your clinical rotations on your resume though, at least when searching for your first job out of school.
