Hey I also interviewed on Tuesday January 13th and I just got my acceptance letter as well!! Who were you at the interview? We only have til Jan 30th to decide.. and I haven't heard back from anywhere else yet.. lots of decisions coming over the next few weeks..

I was a girl in Group B. Who were you?

I was a guy in group A and I'm from cali.. kinda hard to describe myself when all the guys were wearing suits 😛 I'm surprised how quickly we heard back.. they must really want us haha.. So are you going to Lipscomb for sure?

I just found out I was accepted via snail mail this afternoon. Yay!! 😀
I can't believe I heard back from them so quickly.
I am very excited, the school was amazing and the staff was so nice.

I was a girl in group A from the January 13th interview. I'm from New York... actually I'm pretty sure I was the only one from New York that day.

Maggols: I think I was talking to you before the interview day started. Congrats! Are you definitely going to Lipscomb?

Congrats to everyone else who got it!!!

I live in Tennessee and I still haven't received any sort of response. 😕😕😕 Oh and I interviewed on the 13th.

Oh hey.. yeah I know who you are. We did speak before the interviews. Congrats to u too! I'm unsure whether or not I'm going.. I haven't heard back from the other schools I interviewed at so we'll see. What about you? Are you going for sure?

I am definitely going! My number one choice😀

hey, i've never been to TN. Can someone describe what it's like at this school? Is it a big town?

Nashville is not a very large town (compared to NYC/Atlanta/Chicago). It has the southern feel to it and the age of the city's population is shifting to a mid-30's demographics as more and more graduates from the 7+ schools are settling there...my wife and I are convinced that we will settle somewhere in the mid-south and really miss Nashville.

Lipscomb is a small Lib. Arts university that actually has an elementary school and high school on adjacent campuses. The professors at Lipscomb are really excited about the new pharm school and everyone is really kind there..

I also found out that I got accepted to Lipscomb and I was at the Tuesday January 13th interview. I was a girl in group A, who arrived a bit late and had the fish traveling with me from Indiana to Atlanta Georgia. I know at least for me, unless any other school impresses me more (which would be really hard to come by), I'm definitely going to be at Lipscomb. So exciting! 🙂

for those of you that were accepted when did you send your application and what were your stats

yea, if somebody could answer both parts to this question then it will be appreciated.....

Just got an interview invite today. I'm not 100% sure I'm going to take it, as I've been accepted to a few programs so far and missed a lot of school in the process. What do you guys think. I don't know much about Lipscomb, except that they seem like a VERY religious school. Do you know if religion is a part of the pharmacy program? I'm not the biggest worshipper in the world.

It is a very nice school. Don't worry about religion stuff. Not everybody is big worshipper these days.

Guys and girls...From what I have seen and felt with my interview, I DO NOT think that Lipscomb is anything close to religious school. There is freedom to practice what u practice. That is another reason why I declined Hawaii, New York, Virginia colleges. So, think about it!!!

I went to the Feb 17th interview session; I was wondering has anyone gotten word yet?

I thought I did ok at the interview, but now that I keep looking back I see so many mistakes that I made. I am beginning to think I didn't get in.

Invited for an interview for Tuesday, 3rd of March.

I'm excited!!!😀

can anybody that has already gotten accepted/interviewed fill us in on what the essay is about?

can anybody that has already gotten accepted/interviewed fill us in on what the essay is about?

They give you two topics, you choose one.
I can't remember the other one, but the topic I choose went something like: "Is there someone that you truly dislike or like and tell us why"

weird eh?

does anyone know how full the class is for fall 2009?

At my interview for Lipscomb, we were told the class is now half full. Expect the number of spaces to dwindle after next week when more people will receive acceptance letters.

There are two more interview dates remaining.

thanks for the info transformer. 🙂

for those who have interviewed... how large were the interview groups and how did you prepare for the writing portion?

I interviewed on 3/3, and just got the letter in the mail today that I was accepted! 😍

I loved the school, so now I've got some tough decisions to make...

Thanks for posting this! I went right outside and checked the mail and I got an acceptance letter! You have way too many acceptances to schools, I don't know how you're going to make a decision. I have a hard enough time choosing between two schools.

Congratulations to tprice108 and NoReins!

Unfortunately, No letter in the mail for me today. I'm worried....🙁

Don't worry. I went to an interview for Lipscomb on 2/17 and didn't get an acceptance letter until today. I was beginning to think I didn't get in, especially since Lipscomb was the first interview I went to and I wasn't prepared for it.

Congrats to study01! Have you decided which school to attend?

I really thought I done well at the interview. Overall, it was a dynamic conversation with no discord. It was actually interesting and enlightening getting to know my interviewers and their experiences. I felt a connection was there but who knows...

My application probably got pushed back for later considerations.

Again, congrats to everyone who received acceptances! 🙂

Thanks t-former!...be patient, I'm sure you'll hear back from them, and I doubt they sent everybody's out at the exact same time. gooooood luck to ya!

Got my acceptance letter today. I interviewed on 1/13. I already sent my check to Belmont so I will probably respectfully decline Lipscomb's offer.

I must say I was more impressed with Belmont than Lipscomb. I still haven't heard from Belmont, but I hope I hear from them before March 20th. I rather put a deposit down for Belmont.

anyone hear back from the 3/10 interview?

it seems if u have chance for interview, you will be accepted ( based on statistic in pharmcast) so be patient 🙂

I still haven't heard anything from the 3/10 interview. 🙁 Has anyone else yet?

I still haven't heard anything either from the 3/10 interview....anyone else? I was hoping to find something in my mailbox yesterday:xf:

are they on spring break this week? i could be wrong, but i think that's what i heard.

so, apparently no one heard back yet from the 3/10 interview...:scared: hmmmm... my interviewer told me that the adcom was going to meet right after our interview day. soccerdude and pharm3tn- were you told the same thing? GL to you both.

they are on spring break this week but the staff is still there (i called today)...from what i understand they haven't made any decisions from the 3/10 interview and we will probably have to wait a couple of weeks

Being a Christian based school and according to the student hand book, a zero-alcohol tolerance policy (even for those of age), does this apply to the pharmacy students who choose to live in the on-campus apartments that they have provided?...not a big deal, just curious

Any opinions here? I only ask b/c they want us to put a down payment on housing asap and I will turn 21 next year so I wouldn't mind 'breaking myself in' and I would rather not go behind an RA's back to do it. Honestly the handbook sounds a pretty dang uptight. I hope it's strictly enforced for the undergrads and not us.

soccerdude88- thanks for that info. so, no decisions made yet huh?! they were so quick with the interviews before us. 🙁 maybe they're taking their time since the class is now 2/3 full and they want to be more selective in the choosing the last 1/3. :xf:

pharm3tn- i'm not sure if they're having interviews this week. if the students are on spring break then that would mean no student interviewers and no student panel for the interviewees.

futurepharmer1- i'm not sure if this is enforced. they don't enforce going to chapel for the pharmacy students but they do for undergrad.... maybe it's the same for this drinking rule. but then again, who else is living in the student housing? if there are only a few grad students and mostly undergrad, then maybe that's a general rule for everyone living in the on-campus apartments.

Thanks. Yea I remembered them saying that about the chapel services which is cool. Idk, I think I might skip out on the housing for the first year b/c some of the rules honestly sound pretty picky and I would rather choose the safe route. Rules such as: "Common areas of each village apartment will be open from 11am to 1am". I think that is pretty ******ed; some of the students will be in there upper 20s and would rather not be babysat. And there will be RA's, so you never know how picky or unpicky that will go either. Too much babysitting honestly, but I guess we'll find out. Cant wait!

To those who have not been invited to an interview yet, did you receive an email stating your application is still in review? I received one yesterday and it said "the application reviews have ended and your application is still actively being considered"....I guess not being a rejection letter is still good news, right? This is torture!
