I've done a couple of book reviews now, should I list them on my CV? If so, how and where?

Published book reviews?

No, oddly I find it hard to describe. The kind where the publisher sends you the book and you make comments and suggestions about it. Also check the content for errors. It involved me reading both books in their entirety.

Yes, you should include it in your CV. Ask a research mentor where the best place to place this is. I would think under a section entitled "Book Review" .

Were you paid? I would put this under work experience or volunteer activities.

Some people do have a section in their CV titled Book Reviews, but that is usually for published reviews.

If I understand correctly, you volunteered or were paid to edit a book. You call it a book review, but this is pre-publication right?

Once the book was formally published, you should have adjusted your review to be more of a critique and tried to get it published, assuming you weren't paid for the original editing.
