For those who have applied/interviewed, can you post how many slots and how many candidate each programs interviews? I think this will be useful for next year's applicants/re-applicants.

PROGRAM NAME / SPOTS (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CANDIDATES) / NUMBER INTERVIEWED / DATE NOTIFIED OF INTERVIEW, INTERVIEW MONTH.

Rather than having a set number of internal candidates they interview, many cardiology fellowship programs just grant an interview to all internal candidates. So there might be 6 one year and then 12 the next.

You can also find quite a bit of this information on Frieda.

A general figure is 10 interviews for every available slot. FREIDA and NRMP will have info about how many slots the program is looking to fill.

I think a lot of cardiology programs interview between 30 and 50 people total (some more...). Even a lot of the bigger programs that have 8 or 10 spots only interview 45-50....but these are some of the programs that know they are going to fill (pretty high powered academic programs).
