or you could check out predents
please, why don't you start us off, mr. 30s-across-the-board (and i'm not being snide)!
Hey Man, I was just wondering to know ppl's score this terms, coz Lot of ppl are complainig that they had hard tests and others had easy test..so based on DATEs taken we can co-relate grades and its trend.
so far, I can tell there are at least 4 versions of the exam
the incredibly super tough piano
the well-known Frappacino
the piece of cake crocodile and,
the semi-medium rare bridge
why not do a poll and see if the avg AA has a direct correlation to the different versions. i.e. crocodile version has significantly higher AA etc.
nze82 mentioned this before, but the test you get is completely random and they try to make each test the same difficulty level so that schools can compare scores between 2 students that took 2 different tests (there is a lot more detailed analysis about how they construct the test, with percentages or the questions test takers getting right and so on in the DAT user manual i think). A test that is hard for one person may be extremely easy for another (like yourself) and vice versa. There are so many other variables other than the test itself that may lead to lower scores (ex: length of studying, efficiency of studying, types of materials used, nervousness on the test day, etc.) and the people that have high scores deserve them.
I have no clue how they format the test, but does anyone think it is at all possible that one person that got pianoed may have had 2 other passages completely different than another person who got pianoed. Or that somebody that was unfairly frapped, got the same OChem section that some people scored really well in and only got a 17. I highly doubt there are 4 concrete tests. With as many sections and as many questions as there are they can give a lot of different tests just by mixing it up in the different sections and it can still be standardized. Would anyone agree, or am I way off base?
I honestly think that these wild conspiracy theories are counter productive. Probably the best thing I did was stay away from these forums when I was preparing for the DAT.
It's great if you don't read into these posts, but when nerves are getting the better of you, it's easy to get sucked into this stuff.
When I went into the test...I honestly had no idea what to expect (knew about this forum, but rarely visited, did a few times to gather ideas for DAT study material and that's it).
Well, I did get the crocodile passage (which I thought was kinda hard) but after taking the test and coming here, I find out I had an "easy" test....
One of the best things you can do for yourself before taking the test is to have a clear mind with zero expectations and confidence in the amount of studying you have put in.
When i was taking the test.. i totally forgot that piano or frap existed.. even after reading all those crazy posts about them.. they didn't once crossed my mind until i was on the train home after the test haha.
Anywayz, I got the version that no1 else on this forum has ever mentioned.. and i've been stalking every1's scores for the past 3 months... 😕
Any1 got the test version with cancer, exercise (in terms of stress), or brain receptor passage?
