So it gets pretty hard knowing what is the “normal” amount of IIs to have right now is just by looking at school lists. So I figured I would start it off. Note: not a bragging thread, just so people can tell what’s normal

believe gonnif posted that the median number of IIs applicants get is 3. (over the course of an ENTIRE cycle)

People's apps aren't reviewed chronologically so there is no "normal" number to have at any given point...

How different are the mean and median for this data? It's reasonable that the mean is much greater than mean considering, what was it, 40% of applicants do not get a single interview?

Not sure how relevant the information presented on this post would be.

There will be a strong bias of people with interviews posting and the majority of people with silence so far won’t answer.

Wouldn’t stress too much as its still early in the cycle.

I currently only have 4.5 interviews, but that makes my interview: application ratio around 0.225. Compare that to the god-like @u_raptor 0.307.

To be fair a lot of threads on SDN are ridiculous, but I think they have a place. The laughs and humor that I have gotten from the likes of calipremed have been invaluable to my neurotic self this cycle. Of course, the advice given by the experienced users and guides are still the most useful ones.

I mean of course, your last statement isn't arguable.

But if someone wanted to get a feel, albeit very early, for their cycle "success", at the very least, waiting until August would be a little more reasonable.

But honestly, with 1 II, I'm very happy. I don't know if I'll get another tomorrow, or in 3 months.

Overapplied, like raptor and me to a lesser extent. Non-trad (lots and lots of clinical experience), URM, 3.5ish GPA, 520+ MCAT, IIRC.
