To all of you who have already matched for 2005....

Just wanted to remind everyone that if you want yourself or your friends/colleagues to be included in the master list of matched applicants and programs, e-mail Mark Pennesi with your name, program where you matched, and your e-mail address.

I am pretty sure that Mark was only going to distribute the list to people on the list itself and that unless YOU SPECIFICALLY email Mark you will be left off the list (even if he happens to know where you matched).

The point of the list is to share where all of our friends, acquaintances from the interview trail, future colleagues, etc. are going to be doing their training and how to get in touch with them (e-mail).

A lot of us on the interview trail expressed interest in this and thought this would be a nice thing to do (a lot of other specialties put something like this together but no one has for ophtho in the past few years).

If you don't want people to know where you matched or you don't care about the list, then don't participate.

As far as who sees the list, I thought that Mark was going to post it on this board, but perhaps Baylor_eye is right and he was just going to e-mail it out to the individuals who participated.

Baylor_eye was correct. Mark only distributed the list to people on the list itself. I guess he decided not to post the list to the board in order to limit the dessimination of the info. If you e-mail Mark with your info, he can probably still add you to the list and send you a copy, but you'll have to contact him.
