3.7 GPA 32R MCAT (9 v, 11 p, 12 b) resident of Connecticut. The list on the left is my ideal list of schools I would want to apply for. The list on the right comprises of my schools that I would be ok with going to. Which schools from the left would you swap with schools on the right in order to create the best possible list? I believe the one on the left might have too many reach schools.

1. Wake Forest 1. MSU
2. UNC 2. U of Chicago
3. UConn 3. U of Rochester

Sorry, I'm confused as to your question - why are none of the schools you want to apply for ones you want to go to? Shouldn't the lists be overlapped? I think you need to clarify what you're asking to get the answer you want. I'm just going to take the whole list and comment.

But with no information on your ECs or ethnicity its hard to really tell you.

Get rid of this - they only like instate residents who are going to stick around and be doctors in their state.

Definitely a reach unless your ECs are spectacular. I probably wouldn't waste my money if I were you.

11. Virginia Commonwealth
12. Brown
They like their own - may be a waste of money.

12. SUNY Syracuse

13. Harvard
Definitely a reach for you unless you have amazing ECs or URM. I wouldn't waste your money.

13. Medical University of South Carolina
Get rid of this - they only like instate residents who are going to stick around and be doctors in their state.

14. BU

14. Marshall

15. UCLA
Definite reach for you. Its already hard on OOS applicants and your 9 in verbal will really hurt you

15. UMass

16. Maryland

16. New York Medical School

17. Johns Hopkins
Wouldn't waste your money. Unless your ECs are incredible or you're URM

17. St. Louis

Big preference for religious students (you even sign a contract swearing off alcohol and premarital sex)

25. Mount Sinai

The ones I didn't comment on are perfectly reasonable. I think if you apply broadly (25-30) you will get in somewhere. I would get rid of all the schools that have Extreme instate preference (the KYs, South Caroline, Alabama) and unless money isn't an issue for you I would get rid of the top four med schools you have in there. They look for people with amazing ECs and great grades.

The column on the left is my ideal list, my top 25 schools I would love to attend. The column on the right is essentially schools 26-50 who did not make my ideal list but I would still be fine with attending. So I was just looking to find a way to make a list of 25 that was more reasonable by swapping ones from the top 25 with ones from 26-50. Hope that makes more sense.
