Can we make a list of schools who.have requested supp. Apps so far. Not the ones who ask for it at the same time as aadsas app but the ones who have emailed people. Thanks!
 
I second this - makes it easier to keep track of who you should be hearing from soon.
 
UNC's has been available online since the cycle started.

Baylor(OOS)- although they said they said they won't look at oos before September
 
Yes my GPA is verified and my app was mailed today in the first batch but I'm sure they're referring to looking up the electronic version. It's a personal history form and a supplemental fee

The Baylor supplemental has been out forever but you needed an AADSAS ID to fill it out
 
I can't believe I didn't get that email from ucla.
First batch
CA resident, 3.73 gpa, 22 AA , and have research pubs..

Ucla has extremely long supplement, i heard.
Did they send you the questions to fill out?
 
I don't think getting e-mails in any order means anything right now- its a really generic e-mail and they send it out to everyone once they've received an AADSAS application (maybe its in alphabetical order who knows)

It is long because you have to fill out a lot of information that you already filled out on the AADSAS application- but that didn't take long because I transferred most of the information right over (extracurriculars, community service, dental experiences, etc.)

And they do ask for some explanations on some of the questions but they want you to be concise so not more than a paragraph or so. It will take some time but not anything ridiculous

Got an email from Louisville today asking for the fee, $65... My AADSAS isn't mailed yet, either.
 
I have received emails from Roseman, Case Western, and Louisville so far.

(I am curious about the Harvard supp. though..whoever posted that...I received a receipt from paying both Harvard and UoP but no emails regarding a supplemental application or anything yet.)
 
Received email from Boston for supp app + fee

GPA verified last week.
AADSAS app not mailed out yet.
 
I believe I read somewhere on these forums saying that dental schools can technically view portions of your app online once you designate that school. In my case, and some of yours, Louisville emailed asking for the $65 w/o app being sent to them yet. They can most likely see that you've submitted and designated them so they want your money.
 
I received emails from UCLA and ASDOH asking for more money and a supplemental application. My GPA's been verified and my app's mailed out, but my LOR's are not all in yet.

If I remember correctly, the Harvard supplemental application is only provided with an interview invite.
 
Boston University $ and answer why BU and if you have any affiliation with them.
Louisville just $

So far those are my 2 but my GPA still isn't calculated and I take my DAT Aug 17th (super nervous)

penn, ucla for supplemental essays

Yes! I don't even care much, but it's nice to get snapshots in these kind of posts. Very helpful...and efficient...like good dentists.
 
This may seem like a silly question...but... where do we go to check our application status for the various schools we've applied to? Or do we just wait for emails from them

From reading past experiences on this forum, it's a combination of both. Some schools use the AADSAS system, others don't. Keep an eye out for the emails especially.

Pretty sure there's been no mention of a link to a supplementary app in the email.

I'm saying this based off of the 2018 Maryland thread under "Specific Schools".

a few of the ppl said they received emails from maryland yesterday

as of this post, the word "supplement", or anything similar to it, is completely absent from the posts in that thread.

do you have trouble reading? perhaps you're drunk. good luck this cycle.

Nobody said anything about a supplemental app, Just a confirmation for receiving a complete application.

You are right. Nobody in that thread said anything about supp app.

But you DID say you've received a confirmation email from Maryland confirming receipt of a complete application that is ready for review by AdCom, which implies that Maryland has received your AADSAS application and all other supplementary documentation.

I have received no such email despite e-submitting in the first week and paying the $85 supp fee on the day of and making it to the first batch. I did however receive an email that confirms receipt of application fee back in June, but this isn't the same thing as what you're claiming.

Well no. It does not imply that Maryland, specifically, has asked for any supplementary documentation as of yet. All they have asked for at this point is a supplementary fee. Supplementary applications are only requested upon an admissions officer contacting you, which no one has received yet. All schools don't review applications the same way; you need to check school-specific policies before making any generalizations.

Also, good to see that that was your first post.

I understand the school policies, just fine. Thank you very much.

The prior poster just needs to be clearer with respect to the way he refers to a "complete application," which commonly refers to an application that is ready for full review by AdCom. This is clearly not the case here as Maryland hasn't even contacted anyone asking for further supplementary documentation (to my knowledge, at least)

I really don't think you're getting the point. Just because an application is considered complete and ready for review does not mean that a supplementary application was submitted. For example, NYU gives you the supplementary application to fill out in person if you are invited for an interview. As I said before, schools don't review applications the same way.
 
Maryland hasn't even emailed me regarding receipt of my completed AADSAS application yet
 
yeah maryland hasnt een sent me a confirmation email.

lol predents here can be pretty condescending but I understand. yall are all anxious about this application cycle.
