as of this post, the word "supplement", or anything similar to it, is completely absent from the posts in that thread.

Well no. It does not imply that Maryland, specifically, has asked for any supplementary documentation as of yet. All they have asked for at this point is a supplementary fee. Supplementary applications are only requested upon an admissions officer contacting you, which no one has received yet. All schools don't review applications the same way; you need to check school-specific policies before making any generalizations.

You are right. Nobody in that thread said anything about supp app.

But you DID say you've received a confirmation email from Maryland confirming receipt of a complete application that is ready for review by AdCom, which implies that Maryland has received your AADSAS application and all other supplementary documentation.

I have received no such email despite e-submitting in the first week and paying the $85 supp fee on the day of and making it to the first batch. I did however receive an email that confirms receipt of application fee back in June, but this isn't the same thing as what you're claiming.

I guess it's my mistake for saying "complete", nevertheless here is what the email said exactly:
"Your application has been processed and your admissions file has been forwarded to the Committee on Dental Recruitment and Admissions for review."

Maryland only sends supp apps for those getting interviews; therefore I said my application was complete and as you see they said it was sent to adcom for review. As for why I got it before you did, probably for alphabetical reasons (initials AA), I think you'll get yours next week.

Got an email from Louisville today asking for the fee, $65... My AADSAS isn't mailed yet, either.
