Listing a non-peer reviewed Technical Specification on apps?

I am an author on a google-scholar searchable technical specification available on an open website (non-journal). For the purposes of my MD/PhD application, should I list the citation in the 'publication' category and mention that it is a technical specification, or is there a better way to do this? It is not peer-reviewed.

Just make sure it's clear. You don't want to misrepresent it when they ask you about it on interviews.
