Hi all,
I took some time before enrolling in my undergraduate program years ago. During that time I independently raised over $1,500 dollars for ALS research while trying to walk across the united states (coast to coast). I ended up breaking my foot before I could finish but it was an important experience for me. I want to list this on my experiences in my application but I keep seeing things on the internet saying "don't bother listing experiences before college, they don't count". I think that's really silly. Any thoughts? Is that more of a recommendation than a hard and fast rule?
