Heya guys. I was just wondering why its "impossible"? I was looking up statistics from the 04 class and they seem to have a pretty decent Mean GPA (3.5) and there incoming classes are pretty big. I was hoping to apply in a few years so I was wondering if I missed anything...

From what I gather, they take very few transfer students. Generally they allow their own undergrads to fill the ranks first and then accordingly adjust the number of transfer accpetances.

I believe LIU starts evaluating pharm applications on Feb 1.........that is their deadline....and since it is before feb 1, i doubt they have started evaluating pharmacy applications as of now......same thing with st. john's....actually the admissions counselor at St. John's specifically told me that they haven't started evaluating pharm apps yet, and will not do so until the deadline date: Feb 1....

I have been accepted to LIU and I am a transfer. I also heard that they don't accept that many transfers, if at all, so I thought I will never get in.
I aslo applied to Touro to be on the safe side...accepted there as well.

If you want it bad enough I am sure anything is possible so never lose hope 🙂

I also got into LIU from Brooklyn College and Touro. I am still debating which school to go to. I know LIU has the better name but Touro has a 2+2 program.

I had been accepted into LIU as well. Got the acceptance letter last week, but decided to attend another school. I'm an out of state student, and would have been considered a transfer student as well. Now that LIU is doing their app process through pharmcas, a lot more transfer students will be getting accepted into their program. Don't lose hope.

Right now I am leaning more towards LIU. I am going down to give a deposit tom at LIU. LIU is just close to home and I rather have a 20 min train ride as opposed to over an hr train ride. The next deposit in Touro is due June 5 so I still have time.

Yes, I am going to LIU.
I am going there because it has a campus and it is also a better ride in terms of time.
